Prize Presentation for recent Ladies’ Competitions

The Clarke Cup was played at Borth and Ynyslas Golf on Saturday July 14th.  The glorious weather and the excellent condition of the course caused Mair Jenkins to play to a nett 68 thus dropping her handicap to 23 way ahead of the rest of the field.

  In second place was Margaret Roberts with a nett 74 narrowly beating Beverley Watson on the back nine.  The best gross score was had by Barbara Reece with a score of 91.

Karen Evans has also done well recently winning the Griffiths Salver with a nett 69 (runner up was Anna Hubbard nett 77) and winning the Dr Aileen Smith Memoriall Trophy with a nett 70 thus dropping her handicap to 19. ( Runner up was Mair Jenkins with a nett score of 75).

The winner of the Evelyn Jenkins Memorial Competition was Anne Morris with 35pts and in second place was Captain Jean Harrison with 32pts.

The winners of the WGU Centenary Greensomes were Mair Jenkins and Captain Jean Harrison with 32pts.  They will now go on to play in the next round.

Barbara Flanagan was the winner of Beryl Roberts Shield and medal with a score of nett 76 and runner up was Beverley Watson with a score of nett 77.  Karen Evans won the best gross with a score of 97
